The fourth grade of Arden Elementary School as a participant in the Environmental Eagles Stewardship Program, is recycling aluminum cans. The money we raise by this project will be donated to Midlands Golden Rescue to assist in the work they do of recycling love. The students at Arden Elementary School care for the future of all living things. We are determined to do our part in making our community and the world a better place to live. We will be sending you some pictures to show you how hard we are working so you will be able to put them on the web page. We are all very excited! Sincerely, Mary Betty Wald Queen Sumpter Dr. Eugene George, principal and all the fourth graders of Arden Elementary School |

RE: Cans for a Cause Environmental Eagles Stewardship I am proud to announce that at the end of the first week of can collections, the fourth graders of Arden Elementary School collected a total of 17 pounds of aluminum cans. The rate this week for aluminum was $0.40. This netted a total of $6.80. In terms of what this will buy in veterinary care...$6.80 will approximately cover one half of a inoculation for parvo or rabies. Each little bit of cans collected and money donated counts towards improving the life of a dog in need. I am very proud of each and every one of the children in the fourth grade at Arden Elementary. Thanks to all who are supporting and assisting these students with their community service project. |
